Getting Desmond interested in food has been no small task. Having a picky eater has been more challenging than I would have thought and every meal brings with it a little bit of nervous anticipation. Will he like this? Will he eat a single bite? Can he survive on raisins and breast milk alone? And when, WHEN, will he start eating a little more willingly.
This week has been a great one in regards to Desmond’s eating habits. It seems something might have clicked and my boy is finally opening his little mouth to try almost anything. The quantity consumed is still small but not as small. He’s still picky, but not as picky. We are making progress. I know better than to assume his eating issues are solved, but gosh does it feel good to see him eat.
Here, he’s enjoying some of his favorites for breakfast: pear, orange (not touched), granola, sunflower seeds, and multi-grain bread. If those smiling eyes tell us anything, they’re saying that he might actually like it!
