One of the best questions you can be asked: Will you be my Valentine?
One of the best answers you can give: TOTES!
I give you my third installment of my clip art series but this one is a little different. In my previous two sets here and here, I used the pen tool in Illustrator to create my drawings. For this one, though, I first drew each of these elements by hand and then brought them into Illustrator to digitize/vectorize/make-way-cooler-ize.
I’m super rusty when it comes to drawing the old fashion way (by hand with a real life pencil) but I’m smitten with hand-drawn clip art. In fact I haven’t drawn since like Art 1 sophomore year in high school and we won’t talk about how long ago that was. Anyway, there’s just something special and original about hand-drawn work. I wanted to brush up some before I go ahead I sign up for this class by Design Garden that I’ve mentioned just shy of ten times here on my blog. My fam pitched in and donated to my class fund for my birthday, so I’ve almost saved up enough to take it. Wahoo! I want to make sure that when I do sign up, I have sufficient time to dedicate to it. I just can’t tell you how stoked I am to learn some tips because while this set was fun to create, I think I need help.
So, here’s wishing you a happy valentine’s week, friends. This holiday is one of my favorites because February 14 is John and my date-iversary. And it’s the day we met. And it’s the day we found out we were having Desmond (years later, of course). Annnnnd, it’s Valetine’s Day too. It just makes me want to get coffee and donuts to-go and rock a tote bag that says TOTES. Cha know?!
