I don’t care much for New Year’s resolutions. It’s not that I don’t like the whole idea of them or that I can’t get behind the “let’s do this thing!” attitude they stir up as a brand new year rolls in. I get that. I actually love this sense of renewed focus that they bring with their fresh-start feelings. It’s just that they’re so darn fleeting. I flat out stink at them and I don’t like things I stink at.
Before this post officially becomes more womp-womp than an instrumental version of old lang syne on the depress-o-meter, let me get to my happier point…
I actually KEPT a resolution I set in 2014. Possibly for the first time ever, I did it. I didn’t quit by January 26. In fact, I didn’t start until February 26, but still. I made a resolution to start a blog and I did it all year long! And it was so much more fun than “This year, I’ll start going to the gym,” because, really, who am I kidding?!
I thought I’d do a little year-in-review post in case you’re new here and because I love to look back at how much changes in just one year’s time.

And here’s what you can expect here at Everyday Mojo as we ring in 2015:
- More on motherhood (since I can’t stop writing about my boy and according to statistics, you like reading about mom stuff too).
- More artwork like this and this because I LOVE creating it. I’m eying this class and hope to take it early in the new year.
- A possible expansion to video. I know nothing about making videos, but I’m a huge fan of bloggers who also have a presence on YouTube, so my wheels are spinning.
Those aren’t resolutions, just ideas by the way. I specify just in case I don’t follow through. I don’t want to break my roll or anything.
Here’s to a new year and all your resolutions, kept or forgotten. To new beginnings and happy times, friends! Pop. Fizz. Clink.
